Which came first, the chicken or the egg, is no longer relevant because mass-market egg producer Alūksnes Putnu Ferma, part of APF Holdings, has set a unique precedent. In view of the rapid development of the smart device gaming market or mobile gaming industry and with the aim of reaching out to a more digitally advanced audience of younger and youth consumers, the company has invested more than EUR 200,000 in the development of a new egg brand and mobile application “The Chick Game”. As a result, consumers who buy products from the “The Chick Game” line will not only be able to enrich their diet with quality chicken eggs sustainably produced in Latvia, but also become “virtual chicken farmers” who learn about modern poultry farming practices in a digital and entertaining way.

Keeping up with the trends of healthy lifestyle and nutrition, consumer egg production company Alūksnes Putnu Ferma, part of the joint stock company APF Holdings, presents a novelty never seen before in Latvia – Fiteg2, a brand of egg white protein smoothies. More than EUR 120,000 has been invested in the development and roll-out of the unique product line, which includes three flavors of smoothies.

Joint-stock company APF Holdings (hereinafter – APF), a group of companies that includes one of the largest poultry and egg production companies in Latvia, SIA Alūksnes Putnu Ferma, and poultry and rearing company SIA Preiļu Putni, is planning to go public this coming fall by implementing the initial public offering (IPO).

The goal of the project is to modernize SIA Alūksnes Putnu Ferma by constructing a new production building and equipping it with egg processing equipment. Eggs that are not suitable for retail will be processed into higher value-added products: egg whites, egg yolks, and egg mass.
